Breast Milk Ice Cream? Frida Says Chill It’s (Almost) Real

Is this weird? Yes.

Is it real? Also yes.

Sort of.

Frida, the brand best known for solving weird baby problems (like sucking snot out of tiny noses), has announced its next frontier - breast milk ice cream, albeit, flavoured. No, it’s not actually made from breast milk. But it tastes like it is. Because apparently that’s something we’ve all been secretly craving?

In what initially screamed “April Fool’s prank,” Frida’s cold and creamy creation is part stunt, part social experiment, and part nutrition lesson. Slated for release in nine months - get it? - the faux-boob-juice dessert is designed to mimic the nutritional profile of actual breast milk, minus the awkward sourcing issues. That means omega-3s, carbs, vitamins D, B, iron, calcium, zinc… all the milky goodness without the late-night pumping.

Frida insists this isn’t a joke. It’s a statement. A launch stunt tied to their new 2-in-1 manual breast pump. “What does breast milk taste like?” is apparently one of the internet’s most Googled questions. So they’re giving people a safe, slightly creepy way to find out, without involving any real humans.

And let’s not forget: people have actually made real breast milk ice cream before—at home, in pop-ups, even in fancy London restaurants. One infamous chef served it under the name “Baby Gaga” until the health department stepped in. Reviews? Surprisingly positive. “Like sweet almond milk with a hint of vanilla,” said one curious taster. Another compared it to a “melted milkshake...with backstory.” A few swore they’d never look their breastfeeding friends in the eye again.

Honestly? It’s bold. Maybe too bold. But it’s also kind of genius. Breastfeeding is still wrapped in taboos and weirdness, yet we’re cool with oat milk vodka and cricket protein snacks?

And just to be clear - no babies will go without in the making of this product. There is also NO talk of a vegan option either which we suspect would hit resistance.

Expect to see a limited release of Frida’s breast milk ice cream later this year just in time to blow up TikTok, offend someone’s uncle, and make you deeply question your relationship with dairy.

Weird? Absolutely.

Delicious? Ahhh... You can go first !!
