Fine Food Australia 2024 Set to Showcase Plant-Based Innovations in Melbourne

This year, Fine Food Australia returns with a fresh focus on plant-based brands and sustainable food solutions. Taking place at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) from September 2 to 5, 2024 the event celebrates its 40th anniversary and is expected to draw industry professionals and enthusiasts alike, offering a glimpse into the latest trends in alternative proteins and dairy alternatives.

Event organisers highlight the surge in consumer demand for healthier and more environmentally friendly food options. "We are witnessing a significant shift towards plant-based products, driven by consumer awareness and demand for sustainable, health-conscious alternatives." says Fine Food Australia. The agenda is packed with current developments in Australia's favourite plant-based products, reflecting a consistent rise in the market.


In addition to exploring a variety of plant-based brands, attendees will have the opportunity to delve into the science and strategy behind these products. Highlights include a session by food education consultancy Straight to the Source covering topics from flavour and nutrition to cost-effective menu creation catering to a growing number of diverse palates.

Notable 'Earth Friendly' exhibitors this year include Frozen Sunshine from the Sunshine Coast with their range of plant-based ice blocks and ice creams. PURABON with plant-based protein health snacks. v2food and their extensive range of plant-based analog meat products.


The Alternative Dairy Co. will be out in force with it's innovative range of plant-based milk alternatives. Get Farmed will be in attendance with their range of chickpea snack products along with Shary Australia with a range of vegetable snack products and Heal-Thy sparkling all natural prebiotic sodas

Last year's event attracted tens of thousands of visitors, with nearly half specifically interested in the natural and organics category, confirming the event's role as a key platform for industry trends and networking.
