From Nonna's Kitchen to Kiwi Shelves SOLBEVI Limoncello Spritz Arrives in New Zealand

In a tale intertwining family heritage with entrepreneurial spirit, Melbourne-based SOLBEVI is about to release its acclaimed Limoncello Spritz in New Zealand.


Founder Stefan Di Benedetto, drawing from his Northern Italian roots, has transformed his Nonna's cherished Limoncello recipe into a contemporary beverage sensation. "We created Australia's first Limoncello Spritz in a can," Stefan Di Benedetto proudly shared on social media. "After a successful launch in Australia, we gained attention from other countries quite quickly. NZ, being close to home, is a good place to start."

Driven by local collaboration, SOLBEVI has partnered with Auckland-based manufacturer and distributor Socialsmiths to produce its beverages within New Zealand. "We wanted to make NZ product in the NZ market, to support local – to me that is very important," says Stefan Di Benedetto.


The brand's strategy focuses on establishing a strong presence in the on-premise sector. "Brands are built in on-premise and hence this is a focus for us," Stefan Di Benedetto explained. "Every venue we sell in, we ask that our bottle sit next to Aperol and Campari." This approach aims to position SOLBEVI as a staple in cocktail culture, with the ultimate goal of consumers recognising the "SOLBEVI Spritz" as a standalone choice.


New Zealanders can look forward to finding SOLBEVI's Limoncello Spritz cans in 10-packs at all 190 Super Liquor stores by March 16, with bottles to follow shortly after.

Since its Australian debut in August 2023, SOLBEVI has achieved remarkable milestones, including distribution in over 550 venues and accolades such as "Liqueur of the Year" and Gold Medal at the 2024 USA Spirits Ratings.


With its expansion into New Zealand, SOLBEVI continues to share a refreshing taste of Italian tradition, re-imagined for modern palates.
