Another cultivated meat breakthrough as Czech based Bene Meat Technologies launches it's cultivated beef burger. This isn't just any burger; it's real beef, grown from cells in a lab rather than sourced from slaughtered animals. 'Harvested' to mirror the taste, texture, and aroma of traditional ground beef, this burger represents yet another significant milestone in the 'new food' industry.

The Bene Meat Burger is crafted entirely from beef cells cultivated in controlled conditions, ensuring the final product is both ethically produced and environmentally friendly. The method used eliminates the need for antibiotics, hormones, and other additives commonly associated with conventional livestock farming, promising a cleaner and safer beef meat option.

Lada Kratochvílová, Production Technologist at Bene Meat Technologies, says their product has unique qualities: “Our cultivated beef burger is meaty, aromatic, and juicy. It's not a substitute, it's real beef, without any compromises. This product underscores our dedication to providing ethically responsible dietary alternatives for those looking to forge a new path in their eating habits.”

The innovative process behind the creation of this burger ensures it adheres to the highest standards of safety and sustainability. Not only does it significantly reduce the environmental impact by using less land, water, and energy, but it also lowers greenhouse gas emissions compared to traditional beef animal production methods.

While the burger is set to compete with premium beef products in terms of price, it currently remains off the market due to existing regulations. Bene Meat Technologies is actively working to meet the rigorous safety standards set by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) to bring this innovative product to consumers.

Founded in 2020, Bene Meat Technologies is a Czech startup working in the field of cellular agriculture. Employing over 100 scientists, it was the first in the European Union to gain registration to produce and sell cultivated cells for pet food and is now venturing into the domain of human food products.
