Might 'Bold Bean' Just Challenge Heinz with Their Two-Year Culinary Masterpiece?

In a bold move that might just stir the baked bean pot, a new player, UK based, Bold Bean Co., has entered the supermarket space with its meticulously crafted baked beans range. This age-old comfort food, a staple in many households, took two years to create and is now being re-imagined by a startup that might just slice into Heinz’s massive market share.

The Bold Bean Team

The Bold Bean by-line is loud and clear - “QUALITY is always our biggest priority, and with quality comes time and care,” says Founder, Amelia Christie-Miller, shown with her dedicated team left. Bold Bean's journey involved sourcing the best beans and the tastiest tomato sauces, eventually culminating in the creation of three distinct flavours - rich tomato, smoky chili, and classic.

The company initially launched with mainstream varieties like butter beans and chickpeas, which they affectionately refer to as the "jocks and cheerleaders" of beans, before delving into more unique types like carlin peas and borlottis.

Bold Bean Co.'s mission is simple yet ambitious; to make people obsessed with beans. “We’re not here to compete directly with giants like Heinz or to upscale something that’s already working for you,” Bold Bean says in a social post. “All beans are great beans in our eyes, but we aim to bring something new and exciting to the table in the realm of healthy, convenient foods that are DELICIOUS.”

There is no-dount this startup isn't just selling beans; it's selling a vision of what baked beans can be. With a respectful nod to the traditional, Bold Bean Co. is positioning itself to revolutionise the market with their innovative approach to a beloved classic.
