Organic Snack Discovery Taps into Superfood Benefits to Aid Autism Management

In an exciting breakthrough in healthy superfood snacking, LA based, Eric Barenfeld from living-vitamins has revealed a new product he says will change how we think about nutritious eating. Eric's innovation - organic, non-GMO broccoli seeds sprouted with Icelandic kelp and slowly dehydrated - creates a tasty, crunchy snack he aptly calls "Handcrafted Sulforaphane."

"After reading about the incredible potential health benefits of sulforaphane, I was captivated. However, I was determined to eliminate the unpleasant sulfuric taste," Eric Barenfeld says. His persistence has paid off. "Our new broccoli snaps offer an earthy, nutty flavour that's simply delightful."

These snacks aren't just delicious, they're packed with potential health benefits. Sulforaphane, found in broccoli sprouts, is noted for its potential to boost the body's cancer-fighting abilities and manage neurological disorders. A 1992 study led by Johns Hopkins researcher Paul Talalay highlighted sulforaphane as a superfood, catapulting it into the spotlight of health and wellness circles.

But Eric Barenfeld's ambitions don't stop at broccoli. "We're planning to introduce a variety of seed snaps, combining them for what I call a 'succulent synergy effect,'" he states. These products are designed to be sprinkled over salads, sliders, soups, and more, offering a nutritious boost.

The impact of such dietary choices is profound. Studies indicate high consumption of vegetables, particularly cruciferous ones like broccoli, can significantly reduce mortality rates. Further research shows sulforaphane may have beneficial effects in managing conditions like Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD, marking it as a potent addition to dietary regimes.

As Eric Barenfeld prepares to bring his innovative snacks to local Santa Barbara co-ops, he reflects on the journey from inspiration to creation: "It's more than food; it's about creating a healthier, more sustainable future for everyone."

These crunchy, nutritious snacks are set to hit the shelves soon, promising a delicious way to consume wellness and contribute to sustainable, circular food systems. Watch this space!
