From high-end delights to high-street staples, the winners of PETA’s 2024 Vegan Food Awards have once again set the bar for innovative plant-based products.
This year’s awards, judged by notable figures including celebrity chef Theo Michaels, showcase the best vegan food options catering to both dedicated vegans and flexitarians.
Here’s are this years key categories winners :
Best Cheese: La Fauxmagerie’s Brixton Blue took home the title of best vegan cheese. This crumbly, flavour-packed cheese offers the creaminess and richness that even dairy lovers crave. Available at Waitrose or directly from La Fauxmagerie, Brixton Blue pairs beautifully with a glass of red wine.
Celebrity chef Theo Michaels said, “I was hesitant about vegan cheese – until now. Wow! My tastebuds have just been blown. The Brixton Blue is ripe, creamy, full of flavour, and has a certain brittleness that I’d hoped for. It’d pair perfectly with a serendipitously placed glass of red wine.”

Best Milk: Oato Barista Whole, made from British oats, scooped the Best Milk award. This creamy oat milk is crafted in Lancashire and distributed via Waitrose and Modern Milkman, bringing a nostalgic twist with glass bottle deliveries.

Best Vegan Chicken: Chick’N’Sours’ Vegan MK2 burger delivers a crispy, flavour-packed patty, layered with ginger miso, kimchi, and sriracha mayo. This award-winner can be enjoyed at Chick’N’Sours locations across London.
