Australian based, Sanitarium Health Food Company has unveiled its latest innovation in the health food sector, "Plantwell," a new line of plant-based milks infused with clinically proven superplants and superfoods. Launching this range marks a significant step forward in the plant milk industry, combining taste, nutrition, and functional science.
The Plantwell range includes a trio of distinct offerings. The high-protein soy milk is enriched with natural plant ingredients like seaweed-derived calcium, known for its bone-strengthening properties, and prebiotic fibres to support gut health. The oat milk variant boasts cholesterol-lowering plant sterols, making it a heart-healthy choice. Completing the lineup is the almond milk, enhanced with beta glucans to bolster immune defenses.

Anja Laudrin, Dietician and Brand Manager at Sanitarium, says alot of research and development went into creating Plantwell. "Our team dedicated over four years to researching superfood and superplant ingredients, balancing tastes and textures, and substantiating the health benefits of key components," says Anja Laudrin.
The development involved rigorous scientific reviews and communications with Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) to ensure credibility and accuracy in health benefit claims.
The Plantwell milks are vegan, dairy-free, lactose-free, and devoid of preservatives, artificial colours, and flavours. They are also low in sugar and saturated fats but high in fibre, catering to a wide range of dietary needs.
Priced at AUD$4.50, Plantwell will initially be available at Woolworths Australia this month, with plans for broader distribution later in the year.
