This united front signals a growing momentum toward disruptive and sustainable seafood alternatives, as companies come together to revolutionise the way we feed the world.
Marissa Bronfman, Founder and Executive Director of Future Ocean Foods, says the level of interest is exciting. The new members, including brands like BLUU Seafood (Germany), Forsea (Israel), and Ocean Hugger Foods (USA), bring innovative approaches to creating plant-based and cultivated seafood products. This growing alliance now boasts 53 companies across 17 countries, collectively working to combat over-fishing and promote sustainable, ocean-friendly food systems.
