United Front Emerges in Alt-Protein as 17 Companies Join Future Ocean Foods Disruption Revolution

The alternative protein and plant-based fish sectors are coming together, with Future Ocean Foods welcoming 17 new companies from across the globe. This united front signals a growing momentum toward disruptive and sustainable seafood alternatives, as companies come together to revolutionise the way we feed the world.

Marissa Bronfman, Founder and Executive Director of Future Ocean Foods, says the level of interest is exciting. "Absolutely thrilled to welcome 17 new pioneering #altseafood companies from around the world to Future Ocean Foods! We share a mission to feed the world and save our oceans. I am so proud of the incredible global community Future Ocean Foods has built and I am truly honoured to work alongside so many brilliant, passionate champions for our seas and the sentient beings in and around them', Marissa Bronfman shared in a social post.


The new members, including brands like BLUU Seafood (Germany), Forsea (Israel), and Ocean Hugger Foods (USA), bring innovative approaches to creating plant-based and cultivated seafood products. This growing alliance now boasts 53 companies across 17 countries, collectively working to combat over-fishing and promote sustainable, ocean-friendly food systems.
