The Voyage product is designed to address the increasing instability in traditional coffee bean markets caused by climate change and economic factors.
Voyage Foods, known for its pioneering use of technology to reinvent food staples, has developed its bean-free brew using roasted chickpeas, rice hulls, and green tea-derived caffeine. This blend not only mimics the taste and caffeine levels of traditional coffee but does so at a 40% lower cost, offering significant financial advantages to manufacturers and suppliers.

The increasing costs and environmental impact of coffee production have become significant concerns. This year alone, the price of robusta beans surged by 63%, and the forecast suggests further rises, driven by extreme weather and the shrinking availability of arable land for coffee cultivation.

"Given the current dynamics of the coffee market, food and beverage suppliers are uneasy about supply-chain volatility as well as fulfilling their triple bottom line of people, planet, and profit," says Adam Maxwell.
