Aline Fonseca and Patrick Malloch, founders of Feliz Wholefoods, say their mission is on track to offer "clean, honest, kind and delicious plant-based alternatives." Their award-winning product Vutter Avo Spreadable, which also took home the Chilled Award, has captivated not just vegans but a broad range of consumers with its rich, spreadable texture and ethical production values. The spread contains no trans fats or 'bad cholesterol,' using cold-pressed avocado oil sourced from the Bay of Plenty combined with coconut oil.
"This journey was driven by our belief in sustainable, clean eating accessible to all, not just a niche market," says Aline. Fonseca, who perfected the Vutter recipe over an 18-month period. The team’s dedication to zero waste and sustainable practices was crucial in scaling up production to meet the high demand.
