The funding will support five key initiatives aimed at transitioning Zoffee from a research initiative to a market-ready product. These efforts include planting 1,000 Coprosma plants, with an additional 3,000 planned, and collaborating with Food Innovation New Zealand to refine the product's taste. Zoffee is also working with AbacusBio to develop a high-yielding, resilient cultivar of the plant.

To celebrate this milestone, Zoffee has launched its website, www.zoffee.co.nz, where coffee aficionados can pre-purchase the opportunity to be among the first 100 to 'road test' the product. The company envisions native Zoffee plantations across New Zealand, offering farmers a diversification options enhancing the environment and providing tangible monetary returns.
